Oakbrook Center is a large, outdoor, shopping mall in the suburbs of Chicago. In fact, Oakbrook mall is ranked the 4th best shopping center in the country. To make this mall even better, it has been announced that the famous store, Garage, is opening up a location inside the mall.
Garage is a clothing store for young women that sells everything in trend from basics to sweatpants to fancy outwear. It has become especially popular within the past few years with many claiming that the clothes it sells are good quality and caught up with fashion trends.
In the Chicago suburbs area there is only one Garage location in the Woodfield Mall, for many residing in and near Oakbrook it’s a far drive. So for the last few years, people have shopped Garage online, having to wait a few days for their new fashion statements to arrive. When people saw the big poster board in the mall announcing that Garage was coming in fall, the girls were left ecstatic and jaw dropped.
“Everyone was posting on their snap stories that a garage was being put in Oakbrook mall and I screamed I’m so excited to get a store close by” said Eeman Ali, a senior.
The best perk of having this popular store come to Oakbrook is not only do people get to ditch the online ordering and delivery waiting process but can now go in store to see what the clothing looks and feels like before making a purchase. Girls can now try-on clothing and decide what they want to purchase making their fashion lives a lot easier.
“Online shopping is not as fun as doing it in person, I’m excited to finally try on the cute tops and decide if I like it or not on the spot without having to do the long return shipping process” said Teema Kaakaji, a junior.
Garage has come to Oakbrook at the perfect time as it has all the in-trend fall essentials such as sweatpants, sweaters, jackets, and hoodies. Some of Garage’s most popular items are its cargo sweatpants, which will be sold in stores at Oakbrook soon. It is predicted the grand opening will be sometime in the next two months and oakbrook girls are ready to be at that door the second it opens.
“Garage clothes make you an it-girl, they’re so cute and comfortable…I am counting down the days till this new one opens and I think it’s going to be really nice since it’s Oakbrook mall.” said Judy Atassi, a senior.
With the high ranking and beautiful presentation of the Oakbrook mall, the new Garage opening up is sure to be well established and organized. It is opening up near the food court and in a main area of the mall. It will surely be a busy and popular spot for mall tourists.
